Jersey Re-creations

Creating one-of-a-kind original baseball jerseys is one of our capabilities. Whether it is a copy of your father’s old high school jersey, a historic jersey that is not available anywhere else, or a jersey for your fantasy team, We can probably make one for you.

Let’s start with the basics.

What are you trying to re-create? Is it something you will wear or put on display? Do you have pictures of what you want it to look like to share with me?

What kind of jersey is it? Is it a modern or an old-time flannel? Is it a pullover V- neck, or does it have buttons up the front? What kind of trim does it have?

It may seem forward me to ask so soon, but what is your budget? Creating any custom piece is a time-intensive endeavor. Making a custom jersey seldom costs less than $250 or more than $600, but there are exceptions on both ends. It's important to be realistic about the cost before we start planning.

Every recreation requires a donor jersey. I have a stock of authentic totally blank Russell jerseys from around the year 2000 when they lost the contract to Majestic, that I was able to purchase at close out. (Link to or show photo of all the blanks) They are all button-front double knits in white, gray and cream- colored. I don't have every size in every style but it's a good place to start. I also have a few blank flannel jerseys in my stash.

If what I have does not work for you, you will first need to find a donor jersey for us to work with. I'll give you guidance on where to look and what to avoid. Learn more about creating an original jersey with this document

Making a one-off MLB jersey

People frequently ask us to make them a baseball jersey because what they can find in the real world does not match their specifications. I'll give you a few examples:

  • Customer is a size 60 jersey and is looking for a Dodgers home jersey in the 1938 style with the proper World's Fair patch on the sleeve. Needs to use all the proper fabrics and patches and have the right trim. Nobody makes size 60 Dodger jerseys, either then or now. (Link Here), and certainly not accurately in this style

  • Son wants a recreation of a 1960s local minor league team jersey complete with its sleeve patch, as an 80th birthday gift for his father as a remembrance of all the games they attended together so many years ago when the customer was just a boy. (Link Here)

  • Collector wants to make a jersey that never existed, a New York Mets white home jersey with the road New York script on the front from 1987. (Link Here)

I must be very clear about something vitally important: we respect licensing, and so we do not mass-produce anything. Consider me a custom tailor. Everything made here is a single copy, one-off for the person who is ordering it.

Secondly, every reproduction we make is tagged inside with our maker’s mark so it will not in the future be mistaken advertised as original. (Link to safe harbor)
